Tailgating at Home

Tailgating at home "Stadium in a Day"

This post is sponsored by Lowe’s. All opinions are my own.

Even though football season looks a little different this year,  it doesn’t stop the fun for football season! We’re going to enjoy our football game day by incorporating an at home tailgating experience. Get ready for the big game with some easy football party decorations and your favorite snacks.

We’re going to transform our kitchen into a stadium in a day. From creating some DIY decor to making some of our easy delicious stadium food that we love, I’m going to show you step-by-step how we’ll create an easy tailgating at home party on a budget. We will bring fandom home with this quick project that basically converts our home into a stadium feel we know and love in one day and on a budget.

Below is our kitchen before any changes.

The first step is to incorporate some easy football decorations. I’m going to show you some simple DIY decor ideas that you can incorporate on a budget.

DIY Letters Decor

You can create some really easy decor for very inexpensive. I grabbed some letters that spell “GAME” and some Krylon All-in-One Spray paint from Lowe’s and went outside in our garage to spray paint the letters. I chose the color satin spring grass. I only had to use 1 coat of paint.

I also wanted to create a sign so I used a chalkboard sign that I already had on hand and picked up a Sharpie chalkboard marker from Lowe’s. I really love this marker as it’s super easy and applies smoothly even with my bad handwriting! I also added a football decor piece to the corner of the sign just to add a touch of sports to our sign.

DIY Football Field Tablecloth

For our tablecloth, we’re going to create a super easy and inexpensive football field. I picked up some felt, white sticker numbers, and some white electrical tape I found at Lowe’s.

To create this tablecloth, I folded the felt onto the island, then measured for 3 lines spaced out evenly and used the white electrical tape to tape the felt to the island. I then added the white sticker numbers to the lines. This decor is such a masterpiece and stands out yet is so easy to create.

DIY Food Station

There’s nothing like celebrating football season like having an at home tailgating buffet filled with your favorite finger foods and drinks!

I can have a delicious spread ready to go in no time with these appliances from Lowe’s which makes tailgating at home a big win for us.

This Cosori Air fryer from Lowe’s is such a game changer! We used it to air fry our popcorn chicken, chicken strips, and fries. It is so large that we combined both types of chicken in it together using the rack. When I tell you, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this airfryer- it is simply amazing!

It cooks the food perfectly and uses no grease! I highly recommend picking you up one of these from Lowe’s to cook food in no time!

We also found this Cuisinart Popcorn Maker at Lowe’s. It is a must have!  It is super easy to use and makes popcorn like they do at the stadium! Just add a little oil and some kernels and VOILA- stadium popcorn in your home!

Another appliance we found at Lowe’s was this milkshake maker. OMG, this little appliance is a powerful machine! It works like a charm and makes the creamiest milkshakes! We fell in love with it!

And we’re all set! Decor- done. Food-done! Time to enjoy!

It never ceases to amaze me how many creative ways there are to turn something ordinary into a total different space.  Just add a little decor and a food station and voila- you have an at home tailgating “stadium in a day”!

Creating an at-home tailgating experience is super easy and really makes football season fun! What are some of your favorite go-to snacks for the football game?
